Could you survive alone on an Idaho sized island? In Idaho?

If society and civilization were to somehow break down and you were left abandoned with a world full of primitives (think Army of Darkness but without the swords and horses), would you be able to survive in the neolithic age?

I haven't put a whole lot of thought into this, but I think that yes, I could survive althought it would suck big time. Water, food and shelter to start with. Easy enough depending on where you are living. I'd develop primitive hunting techniques, starting by flaking stone and sharpening throwing implements to catch game for food and clothing. I think the atlatl would be useful for great effect until the tools to create a long bow could be developed. Fire can be had by striking iron against quartz or possibly by rubbing sticks together. Presumably animals could be easily redomesticated immediately after the breakdown of civilization.

Eventually, if I could live long enough to find others and join a ragtag band of neolithic survivors, I'd be the juju master of the tribe, mostly because I could identify useful minerals and use my scientific skills to process them for tribal gain. I still remember the formula for gun powder: sulfur, charcoal and saltpeter. Take that...all you computer scientist primitives out there...this is my boomstick!

Plus I was really good at making forts in third grade at the YMCA camp on the hill above the Stratobowl.
